karma is real*
when my man won the weekly pool,
i e-mailed him and asked did he bet
football before i got him into it. he
replied back thanking me and said
he would pay my pool fees for the
rest of the year. i was so broke it
was no joke so this financial
windfall moved me and i wrote the
"karma is real" e-mail. (last year
homey said if he had the most wins
overall and won the year-end pot,
he was gonna kick me down. he
won, but i didnt hold him to it).

also around this time i got a call for
a one day job in florida. i was to fly
out sunday, work monday & return
tuesday. so i watched my beloved
pittsburgh steelers in a big monday
night football game eating expensed
garlic laced shrimp & ribs with a
chance to win $250. money that
would pay for my trip to vegas to
see funkadelic on saturday. i did a
good job on my assignment and
spent a beautiful day on the gulf of
mexico and in an art gallery. the
weather was gorgeous and the air
was fresher than anything in cali. it
was surreal as i walked along the
beach anticipating that nights game.
i thought to myself that it didnt
matter if i won or lost, i was so
enjoying the rush from the
experience and the antcipation of
watching the football team
i so love...

whats happening Artisan people?!!!!

first of all, i would like to send special props
to this weeks winner, mr anthony lam. he is a
real cool dude (karma is real) and it has
been a pleasure to watch his football picking
ability blossom (i liked that show) into what it
is today. cause you see, it was me who introduced
him to the wondeful world of football gaming...

it wasnt that long ago when i walked the
corridors of Artisan changing toner cartridges,
instructing users to "reboot" and soliciting
people to join the new football pool. i can
remember his words like it was yesterday;
"how many field goals in a first down?"
"a punt is worth how many kick-offs?"
i was patient and continued to work with him.
now he is a genuine football guru who
dominates the very pool i thought i had
so cleverly suckered him in to.

so as i sit here unemployed watching so
much anthrax coverage on tv that i wish
i would get it and expire so i wont have to
hear anymore, i thank mr lam for bringing
a shining light to another ho-hum lazy day...

cause it is this shining light that frees my mind from
worrying about paying next month's rent so
i can focus on the important things in life-
like getting to vegas and seeing parliament-funkadelic
at the house of blues on nov 3 (most of all we funk)

you are the man dawg!!!!
(THANKS AGAIN!!!)

how 'bout them pittsburgh steelers??

i had trouble getting internet and
access to my aol mail so i stopped
by the college's library across the
street from my hotel for free internet.
i enjoyed composing a reply e-mail
but could not send it due to "too
many recipient addresses". i hadnt
eaten and got tired and said forget it.

pittsburgh won big, too big in fact-
they scored too many points and i
didnt win the pool money, but i still
made it to vegas for the funk...

Once again, the women are dominate this week!!
All with 9 correct picks thus far, we have ******
"the Ruler of the Getty Center" ****** going with
the Steelers and an o/u of 37.5, Jeffrey "the
Funkadelic PFunk1" Mitchell
going with the
Steelers and an o/u of 33, and **** "Don't Mess
With Me" **** going with the Titans and an o/u of
36. So... if the Titans win **** will take the $265.00
pot. If the Steelers win, then it will go to the closest
o/u between ****** and Jeff. Good luck!

PS - Please see Anthony Lam should you wish to
place a side bet on whether PFunk will survive.

checking account which is currently
not prepared to handle this...

and once again, win or lose i will
enjoy and treasure the experience...

Well... nothing too exciting to report this week other
than *** "I'm Gone But Not Forgotten" ****** is
leading the pack with 11 correct picks thus far.  She
has the Giants tonight with an o/u of 51.  Her only
competition is from Jeffrey "the Funkadelic
PFunk1" Mitchell
who has 10 correct picks thus far.
He chose the Vikings tonight with an o/u of 39.  So,
if the Giants win, then *** wins the $260.00 pot.  If
the Vikings win, then it goes to the one with the closest
o/u score.
Good luck!!
